Take Action — Government

CANNP keeps tabs on the government happenings across the country.

Since CANNP is involved in the production of the Legal Guide, we do check in to see what changes are being proposed and do our best to keep the Membership informed. Our provincial representatives help us by relaying any information or rumblings that come their way.

When Nova Scotia was in jeopardy of losing the right to practice, for example, we stepped in and were of great assistance to those practitioners. We had boots on the ground there and we represented the industry via conference. We were able to provide much appreciated education about our services to the representatives.

We reach out to the dietician associations to ensure that we are all on the same page about how we practice.
